So How Did This Particular Online Book Store Come About?One Thing Leads to Another.....
I'm a natural Intuitive, and during the 1980's and 90's enjoyed publishing a number of newsletters relative to Intuition, Psychic Ability, ESP, Metaphysics, Metaphysical and Psychic Expriences (PSI), Synchronicity, Dreams, Tarot, Mysticism, Meditation, Holistic Healing, Visualization, Manifesting Techniques and Magic aka Magick.
Three of those newsletters - Intuitive Explorations, Somnial Times, and Tarot News - became quite popular. I was asked to do book and product reviews, and this led to some PR work, which led to offering other services and networking for authors, speakers, presenters, and Human Potenial trainers. I also began selling New Age, Metaphysical, and Human Potential titles, Tarot and other divinatory decks and games, as well as blank books and journals, through my various publications.
In my private life I'd always been a bookaholic, voracious reader and collector of books. So, eventually, all this good stuff swirled together in such manner that I found myself editing and publishing yet another newsletter - Book Traders - which resulted in my drifting ever further and deeper into the avocation of book seller.Times Change.....
With the advent of the Internet, hardcopy newsletters gradually became pretty much replaced by websites and online discussion groups.
One day a writer/client/friend contacted me to ask why I had not opted to sell books online. What a wayshower he was... pointing me in just the right direction at just the right time (some of that Synchronicity stuff I used to write about).... and incredibly soon I found myself fielding book inquiries and sales ..... meeting lots of wonderful Book Lovers... and thoroughly enjoying myself.
At that time I was still specializing in Metaphysics, New Age, Human Potential and Brain/Mind titles. That and Tarot.... always the Tarot Along Came Customer Feedback.....
While I was totally content working with the specialty categories of my choice, more and more I would hear from customers asking if I had or could get this or that crochet or cross-stitch, or knitting, or quilting, or needlepoint, or hooking, or rug making book. Others were asking for cookbooks.... and for popular fiction..... especially fiction with a mystical, metaphysical or time travel theme.
And I began to realize that I enjoy all of these things my own self! I've crocheted since my pre-teen years.... dabbled at needlepoint, cross stitch, embroidery, rug hooking and other rug making skills. What the heck... let's DO it.... and the categories expanded.Where We Are On All This Today......
I'm still Intuitive ... in fact I have to admit that I do enjoy my full time work as a Psychic Intuitive and Spiritual or Life Coach as much, or maybe even more, than I enjoy selling books and meeting book lovers from all over the world. My work as a psychic intuitive often runs similar to that of a "Dear Abby" or "Ann Landers" style advice column... only one on one, by telephone, email, mail or in person... expanded beyond anything an advice column can offer in a few paragraphs... and enhanced by that marvelous Intuitive edge!
It's the best of all worlds.... selling books, and related sidelines.... making people happy by helping to find that special new or used title or sideline (including candles, pendulums, and other mystical themed items) that they have been seeking and searching for. I delight in finding just the right title or item in just the right condition, at just the right price..... for each customer. And through my Intuitive consulting services, I enjoy assisting people with everything from mundane choices and decisions, to plotting and planning their future, so that their best goals, dreams and desires are more apt to manifest in full 3D Reality.
